2009 Syrah Reserve

Syrah - [See-ra] Syrah loves heat and with its thick skins adapts well to the warm climactic condition of the Texas Hill Country venue.  It satisfies the revival of interest in robust heavy reds.  From the Northern Rhone valley, Syrah provides firm tannin and aromatics as well as currant fruit and blackberry.  It can taste of smoke, pepper and tar.  It is intensely dark blood red in color.  It produces wines of elegance and longevity.  According to the intent of the winemaker’s style, it may produce elegant restrained wine or exhibit intense fruit.
