Solaro Estate Winery of Austin, Texas takes an incredible 4 wins in the Finger Lakes International blind wine tasting competition
held in New York earlier this week. One of the select few Texas wineries which produces all of its own wines; it was announced Tuesday, that Solaro Estate’s 2009 Miscela –Sangiovese/Syrah and Solaro Estate’s 2010 Arancia-Orange Muscat were both awarded Silver medals. Bronze medals were awarded to Solaro Estate’s 2009 Tempranillo Reserve and Solaro Estate’s 2009 Mourvedre Grenache Tempranillo. Sixty of the World’s most renowned Wine Experts judged an all time record of entries in this Prestigious Wine Competition. The winners were chosen from 3, 298 wines presented by Wineries from 19 Countries in this, the largest Charitable Wine competition in North America. The winners will be honored at a gala dinner and auction on May 7, 2011 at the Rochester Plaza in New York with proceeds dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, adults and families battling cancer.
