A fusion of Art and Wine occurred on December 12th, when notable works of art were exhibited to nearly 250 private buyers from around the world at Solaro Urban Winery Houston. This trend-setting event has created impact in the art community because of the works in the Urban Winery environment. Art is blended with high-tech wine tanks, stacked French oak barrels, a glass wine cellar, vaulted ceilings and granite.
This long anticipated event was the vision of Houston Gallery Curator Glenda Araiza, who maintains the idea that “great art needs to be seen.” Showcasing art and Artists together in this beautiful, artistic winery space has drawn a crowd. “The Urban winery venue is a partner in the huge success of this event,” says Ms. Araiza. This rare event features not only the artistic creations, but also the Artists themselves. The exhibit included the works of China’s Perisian- trained Francisco Hung, Venezuela’s and Spain’s Armando Villalón, Mexico, France and Italy’s Clemente Garcia, and abstract Artist R.A. Karim. The exhibit also included the works of noted Artists: Clovis Postali, Antonio Montes de Oca, Manuel Brito, Oscar Pernia, Jesus Pernalete Tua, Miriam Hart, Alan Fuentes, Story Sara, Ilda Benchetrit, Edith de Cacho.
“Like great wine, great art has no borders, and this event is a celebration of the world’s finest things in life. Solaro’s passion for International awarded wines and the Artists’ passion have complimented each other in a gathering that will not soon be forgotten by those in attendance,” says Solaro’s Barbara Haderlein.
